Birdz and FluksAqua merge
This merger is motivated by the pooling of the two companies’ digital expertise to accelerate the development of Birdz’s IoT Environmental positioning.
Birdz, a pioneer in environmental IoT and a subsidiary of Veolia Water France, announces its merger with FluksAqua, a specialist in community applications for water management. The aim of this merger is to combine Birdz’s Digital/Data skills with FluksAqua’s Digital/User culture. The new entity will offer all water operators even more comprehensive, easy-to-use and high-performance digital services.
Already present in this sector, particularly through its remote meter reading and water network management solutions, Birdz will be able to take advantage of FluksAqua’s experience to strengthen its activities, particularly in the water and wastewater treatment sectors.
Xavier Mathieu, Chief Executive Officer of Birdz explains, “This merger marks an acceleration in our Smart Water strategy. It will enable us to continue to address, in an even more global and impactful way, the entire large water cycle. But the idea is not to limit ourselves to this sector. We want to develop our expertise and solutions on all environmental issues: water, energy, waste and air quality, in order to provide markets with solutions for measuring and analyzing the environmental parameters that are essential for preserving natural resources and saving energy. This is a real demand, both from communities, who want to make more eco-responsible choices, and from citizens. The time has come for collective and individual awareness, and we want to support public and private players in this evolution. »
Created in 2013, FluksAqua is a web-based sharing platform designed for and by water and wastewater operators. In addition to developing operational applications for monitoring networks and sanitation, the company brings together a total of 30,000 operators on its anonymous and free technical support forum.
